Welcome to a very special episode of Culture Clash on the Fandom Podcast Network! Coming Monday February 10 is an instant Horror Short Classic, "The Killer of Grassy Ridge"! Culture Clash hosts Kevin and Kyle interview director Johnny K. and co-star Heather Stone.

A Film By Kaotica Studios
The Killer of Grassy Ridge is a new short film premiering on YouTube on Feb. 10, 2020.
Shot on location in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley in late 2019, Killer… was purely a personal challenge project for first-time director Johnny K., to storyboard, write, cast, shoot, and edit a completed film in just 60 days, on a micro-budget using only equipment he had on-hand. According to Johnny, the point was to stop procrastinating and making excuses about equipment not being good enough, and to just get out there and make a damn movie.
As a result, Killer… was shot almost entirely on a Nikon D3300 DSLR with minimal equipment, using only natural light (sunlight and firelight). The budget, or lack thereof, dictated a horror film. According to Johnny, he knew he’d come away with some great footage and fun things to chew on in the editing room, but the solid performances of the actors changed the direction of the film.
“When I saw the first rough-cut under that creepy music, suddenly there was this dark tension that I got work with, and I hadn’t really counted on having that. Heather and Mike (actors) absolutely brought their A-game which cranked everything up a notch, so I tweaked the film in the editing room to much more of a performance piece than the simple “slasher flick” that I’d originally envisioned.
They say there’s the movie you write, the movie you shoot, and the movie you edit, and I had no idea what that meant until I made this film.”
Post-production completed in early January, just 63 days from sketching the initial storyboard. The film is currently on the festival circuit, and has already been selected as one of ten films to screen at the 2020 Bloody Flicks Awards in the UK. The Killer of Grassy Ridge stars Heather Stone and Michael Stumbo, and features music from Italian composer Mattia Cuppeli and Doug Maxwell. It premieres on YouTube on February 10, 2020.

Tora Tora is a very underrated and talented band. Tora Tora formed in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1985. Tora Tora started out as a local garage band then eventually got studio time when they won a local Battle of the Bands contest. After signing with A&M Records, they recorded their debut album Surprise! Attack in 1989. This album peaked on Billboard's Top 200 at No. 47 and featured the singles "Walkin' Shoes" and "Guilty." Tora Tora was the first Band from Memphis, Tennessee, to have a music video, “Walkin’ Shoes” on MTV. In 1992, their second album, Wild America, was released.
Kevin and Carl discuss many topics about Tora Tora including personal experiences seeing the band live, their studio albums and where the reunited band is now.

Union Federation Episode 63: Star Trek Picard S1 Ep1: "Remembrance"
It is PICARD time! The Union Federation Podcast on the Fandom Podcast Network is excited to finally talk about the first episode of Season One of Star Trek: Picard! At the end of the 24th Century, and 14 years after his retirement from Starfleet, Jean-Luc Picard is living a quiet life on his vineyard, Chateau Picard. When he is sought out by a mysterious young woman, Dahj, in need of his help, he soon realizes she may have personal connections to his own past.
On this episode of Union Federation Kevin, Kyle and Hayley give their first reactions to Picard episode one "Remembrance". They dive into what Picard learns about this mysterious girl Dahj that seeks out his help, and how she is tied into the big picture of synthetic beings, and the possible threat to Picard and the Federation.
In Subspace Signals the topics that are discussed are Wil Wheaton returning to Star Trek as the Picard after show host "The Ready Room", Whoopie Goldberg's Guinan possible return. And Picard's new Number One, his trusted and beloved pitbull.

Welcome Highlander Fans to another special episode of Blood of Kings. In this episode we are continuing our celebration and remembering the life of actor Stan Kirsch who played fan favorite character Ritchie Ryan in the 1990's Highlander TV show. We recently lost Stan as he passed away on Saturday January 11th, 2020. On our last episode we started our celebration of Stan's life on part one of this two part podcast with special guests Lee Fillingsness and celebrated author John Mosby. We continue to celebrate Stan's life with Part two of this podcast.

Culture Clash 156: We weren't even suppose to be here today!
Kevin and Kyle thought they might take a week off but Fandom insisted otherwise! There is a ton of news starting first and foremost with the Oscar Nominations as well as remembering someone important to the FPNet. From there we lay out the latest in Film & TV news and we catch up on some Buy It, Stream It or Unsee It including 1917, Bad Boys for Life a very interesting film about one of the all time greatest henchmen actors in history and even some animated films and shows including Weathering With You and Harley Quinn. Finally a couple of things came from Social Media as we discuss how long do you give a series before your fully on board or jumping ship and also what makes a perfect movie and what are some of our choices of perfect films.

Join us for this very special edition of Couch Potato Theater as we look back on the 1981 classic Heavy Metal.
Heavy Metal is a 1981 Canadian adult animated sci-fi-fantasy film directed by Gerald Potterton, produced by Ivan Reitman and Leonard Mogel, who also was the publisher of Heavy Metal magazine, which was the basis for the film, and starring the voices of John Candy, Joe Flaherty, Eugene Levy, Harold Ramis, and many more. The screenplay was written by Daniel Goldberg and Len Blum. The film is an anthology of various science fiction and fantasy stories adapted from Heavy Metal magazine and original stories in the same spirit. Like the magazine, the film features a great deal of adult content. Its production was expedited by having several animation houses working simultaneously on different segments.
Join Kevin & Kyle as they take a look back at this classic film and see how it has remained a true classic to this day, and a film that represents everything that Couch Potato Theater is about.

After Kyle and Kevin took over for Scott and Derrick last episode, the two official co-hosts have finally thawed out from the Carbonite Freeze they were under thanks to the help of two special guests - Scott's own kids, Matthew and Joseph! The boys join in with Scott, Derrick and Kevin to discuss a flurry of new Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker TV commercials and the cross-generational appeal of Star Wars. Then the crew gets down into the nitty gritty with discussion of the Gunslinger and tries to figure out that ending.

Welcome Highlander Fans to Episode 120 of Blood of Kings: A Highlander Podcast, here on the Fandom Podcast Network. On this show, we celebrate the 2 year anniversary of the Highlander Worldwide Gathering Convention in Los Angeles CA 2017.
