The Endzone: 2019 Week 2 review and week 3 preview

Kyle is once again in his happy place with another victory in the eternal Chiefs v Raiders rivalry but fear not as Kevin has kept his spirits up and has returned to once again help us find The Endzone!

This week we take a look back at week 2 and how it might have changed the landscape of the NFL with injuries and games that might have went a bit sideways.

Plus we take a look at the latest news and discuss what the future holds for several teams now changing quarterbacks due to injury or by choice.  We also discuss one trade that has happened and another that might be happening sooner than later.

We then look ahead to week 3 and make a few pics and see what looks most interesting.

Finally we bring you the best mediocre fantasy football advice around with injury replacements, waiver wire pick-up's and of course the Jimmy GQ fantasy crush of the week.

All this and more as we once again try to make the long drive into THE ENDZONE!

TYPE 40: A Doctor Who Podcast

Episode 29: The Fantasy Doctors Factory

*Editors Note:  Dan and Adam experienced some Vortex energy manipulation during this episode (dirty stuff it is) that cause a few drops.  We used our Sonic Screwdriver to clean it up best we could and fix the problem going forward but hang with us on this episode

Time waits for no man…. except one! And we’ve kept listeners waiting long enough for the return of Adam “Lethal Mullet” O’Brien to the show. With his unique brand of humour and view of the Doctor Who universe! Yes, we only break out the TARDIS seat-belts when absolutely necessary and this edition of Type 40: A Doctor Who Podcast qualifies…

Fear not: regular host Dan still has a hand on the dimensional stabililsers when both he and Adam pitch their picks for the next, or next after next incarnations of the time traveler known only as “The Doctor”. For generations now, this is a game every fan plays at some point. Huge part of the fun is seeing our hero through one another’s eyes…!

Do you have any of them on your wish list? Listen in to find out. Imaginations and conversations, as well as impersonations are running wild in this fun and frankly fabulous presentation from the nice folks at The Fandom Podcast Network.

Couch Potato Theater Presents: The Dark Crystal

Welcome to another Fantastic episode of Couch Potato Theater here on the Fandom Podcast Network. Couch Potato Theater is THE podcast on the FPN dedicated to covering all those hidden gems, cult classics and Guilty pleasures that are just so good, even though you might have the Criterion Collection or Deluxe Blu-ray set in your library just mere inches away from your entertainment center, you love what you are watching SO MUCH, you don't even care about getting off the couch. And THAT my friends is the DEFINITION of what our Show is all about.

Join us for this very special edition of Couch Potato Theater as we look back on the 1982 Jim Henson classic The Dark Crystal.

In 1982 Jim Henson released a film unlike anything he had every done before, changing the way the world saw his creative vision and what could be done from the Henson workshop.  A cult classic with a true following the Dark Crystal has stood the test of time and is now making a full force return with a new streaming series, The Dark Crystal Age of Resistance.

Join Kyle and the two newest members of the Fandom Podcast Network Scott and Derrick as they take a look back at this classic film and see how it has remained a true classic to this day and a film that represents everything that Couch Potato Theater is about.

Blood of Kings 115: Seacouver Tour Chronicles Part 5: Interview w/ Highlander Actor Jay Brazeau & "Song of the Executioner" Theater Supervisor Paul Bartlett.

In April of 2019, your Blood of Kings Highlander Podcast host Kevin Reitzel joined Location Master Andy Sloane for his Seacouver 2019 tour in the beautiful city of Vancouver British Columbia, Canada. Vancouver Canada provided the filming locations for the fictitious city of Seacouver for the 1990's Highlander TV Show. The first half of each season was filmed in Vancouver, then the second half of the season moved production and location to Paris France.

Andy Sloane has been running these tours of Seacouver / Vancouver for several years. His knowledge of the Highlander filming locations is extensive and very well organized and researched. Your Blood of Kings host Kevin Reitzel spent a week in Vancouver with Andy touring many locations from most of the Highlander filming locations in the Vancouver area which included many fan favorite episodes and iconic Highlander scenes and locations.

- Our interviews for this Seacouver Tour Chronicles Part 5 is with Highlander TV series actor Jay Brazeau and with Paul Bartlett, the Gateway Theater Building Services Supervisor, where the episode "Song of the Executioner" was filmed.

Kevin's first interview is with iconic character actor Jay Brazeau. Jay has been in many television and movie productions like The Watchman, Horns, Insomnia, House of the Dead, The Exorcist TV series, Bates Motel and many more. Jay Brazeau also has many voice acting credits too. Jay was in two Highlander (TV Series) episodes as Commissioner Cominski in "Bad Day in Building A" (1992) and "Free Fall" (1992). Jay discusses his experience working on the Highlander TV show, and what it was like working during the booming Vancouver TV and movie industry in the 1990's.

Kevin's second interview is with Paul Bartlett, the Gateway Theater Building Services Supervisor. This location is where the episode "Song of the Executioner" was filmed which included the famous fight between Duncan & Kalas, where Duncan dies in front of Anne Lindsay. Paul gave Andy and Kevin a personal tour the beautiful Gateway Theater. Paul talks about his experience working with the Highlander crew and cast during the filming of that iconic Highlander episode "Song of the Executioner".

Kevin would like to thank his Special Guests Jay Brazeau and Paul Bartlett for being on the Blood of Kings Highlander Podcast.

Culture Clash 139: Holy Frack! Where did all this come from!

In this weeks Clash which started off as a nice quiet show for Kevin & Kyle, then decided to go off the rails as Fandom exploded!  First Spider-Man, then The Matrix is coming back, plus Kenobi, D-23 is almost here, DragonCon not far behind.  Plus a listener response to your Galaxy's Edge conversation from a few episodes back.  Not to mention a Good Boys edition of Buy it, Stream it or Unsee it and the Return of Cult Classic or Guilty Pleasure!!!!  So much and is the internet still broke?!?!? either way it is time so.........

Let's do this Thing!

TYPE 40: A Doctor Who Podcast

Episode 28: Smoke and Fire

It’s as if the whole of Doctor Who Fandom just woke up, like a Racnoss nest just now! As rumours went into circulation about the future of series showrunner Chris Chibnall, and lead Jodie Whittaker. So The Fandom Podcast Network quite naturally hit the consoles Recall Circuit to bring you a brand new episode with some of our most prolific, opinionated voices…

Starry-Eyed Sarah Graham and sharp-witted Simon Horton join Dan to track both the whispers and the cries. Speculating some more as to how feasible any of it could be and how the profile of the series is faring in the age of HBO and Netflix. Let alone the social media domains and hashtags.

Do they have any definite answers? Absolutely not, but that’s all part of the fun. Because between all that there’s broader discussion to be had on the history of the Doctor Who “Rumour Mill”. Plus, more of our customary brand of banter and a sprinkle of snark on this edition of Type 40: A Doctor Who Podcast. Download or stream to listen in: you know you want to…

Time Warp: 1993: The Movies - 25 Years Later: Part 2. Jurassic Park, Sleepless in Seattle, Last Action Hero, Super Mario Bros., Cliffhanger... and more!

Welcome to the Fandom Podcast Network's special presentation of Time Warp: 1993 The Movies, Part 2. In this special edition of Time Warp, your host Kevin Reitzel and co-hosts Kyle Wagner and Alex Autrey will cover the movies, and pop culture for the year of 1993.
Over the last few years here on the Fandom Podcast Network, we celebrated the movies of 1985, 1986 & 1987. We made a case for the 1980's being some of the best years in movies. But we though we would challenge this again, and look back on the fantastic year of movies and pop culture of 1993! The movies of 1993 recently celebrated their 25th anniversary!
Welcome to Time Warp: 1993 The Movies Part 2 of 4. In the episode, we will cover the 1993 movies released in the months of

-          April

-          May

-          June

Here is a small sample of the many movies we will cover in Part 2 of Time Warp: 1993:

- Indecent Proposal

- The Sandlot

- Sleepless in Seattle

- Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story

- Last Action Hero

- Sliver

- Menace II Society

- Cliffhanger

- Super Mario Bros

- Jurassic Park

1993 gave us a great year in movies, an that's what we are here to celebrate on this special presentation of the Time Warp here on the Fandom Podcast Network. Many 1993 movies became legendary with box office receipts to back it up. Some became cult classics. And some 1993 movies were so bad, they were good. And well... some we're just plain bad. 1993 also gave birth to many of our current classic fandoms and pop culture we still celebrate today. We will celebrate, debate and discuss this fantastic year of movies in 1993.

So travel back in time with us, and enjoy, Time Warp: 1993 The Movies, Part 2.

Blood of Kings 114: Seacouver Tour Chronicles Part 4: Interview w/ Highlander Alumni F. BRAUN McASH & GILLIAN HORVATH!

- Our interviews for this Seacouver Tour Chronicles Part 4 is with F. Braun McAsh, the Sword Master for the Highlander TV Series, and with Gillian Horvath the Associate Creative Consultant & Script Coordinator for the Highlander TV Series.

Kevin interviews F. Braun McAsh and Gillian Horvath together just outside Vancouver Canada. Just prior to this interview earlier that day, F. Braun McAsh and Gillian Horvath joined Andy Sloane and Kevin on a tour of several Highlander filming locations. Both of them discussed their experiences working on the Highlander TV series, and talked about many interesting topics. One of the fascinating topics was how the fictitious city of  Seacouver got its name!

Kevin would like to thank his Special Guests F. Braun McAsh and Gillian Horvath for being on the Blood of Kings Highlander Podcast.

Culture Clash 138: A Villainous Turn!

Culture Clash 138: A Villainous Turn!

On this episode of the Culture Clash Kevin and Kyle are joined by a freshly gremlin free Scott to discuss the latest in fandom news and reviews while things at the Fandom Hall of Fame take a Villainous turn!

It is a ton of streaming news in Let's News as we cover the new trailers for Titans season 2 and the news Amazon show Carnival Row, we also discuss the news of Doctor Who going exclusively to HBO Max in the US for streaming and a Marvel TV show crossover between Runaways and Cloak & Dagger.

We also get into a discussion on this years upcoming CW crossover Crisis on Infinite Earths and what rumors are true and what ones are just internet gossip.

We did see something from the last show as well as Buy It, Stream It or Unsee it gets Fast and Furious with Hobbs & Shaw!

Finally things take a darker turn as The Fandom Hall of Fame add a new wing as we induct the first batch of Villain performances from TV & Film.

Let's do this Thing!

Hair Metal Podcast: Episode 10: 1989 MOSCOW MUSIC PEACE FESTIVAL, 30 years Later!

Welcome to the Fandom Podcast Network's special presentation of... THE HAIR METAL PODCAST!

The Hair Metal Podcast cover bands that reached several levels of popularity and notoriety during the mid to late 1980's "Hair Metal" explosion. We take an in-depth look into the bands that defined the style and sound of Hair Metal, and many other bands that may or may not be categorized as Hair metal, but did reach some popularity during the Hair Metal rush of the 1980's.

Kevin Reitzel is your host for The Hair Metal Podcast. Kevin's special returning guest for this Hair Metal Podcast episode is... Johnny K.!

In this episode of the Hair Metal Podcast, Kevin & Johnny give you a special "Lesson In Hair Metal History". Our normal episode segment of a Lesson in Hair Metal History usually covers a history making, famous, memorable or sometimes infamous Hair Metal music event or moment. In this episode we don't disappoint, as we give you a full episode dose of a Lesson in Hair Band History as we discuss... the 1989 MOSCOW MUSIC PEACE FESTIVAL!

The Moscow Music Peace Festival was a series of performances by famous Hair Metal era rock bands, who performed in the Soviet Union, in the city of Moscow at Lenin Stadium on August 12-13, 1989, as a promotion of peace and a way to establish international cooperation between the USSR and the West.  This was the first time that an audience was allowed to stand and dance at a concert in the Soviet Union. Before this, all concert attendees had to remain seated. The concert was put together by music producer and band manager Doc McGhee and his Make a Difference Foundation.

The bands & artists that performed at this momentous event were:
- Skid Row
- Gorky Park
- Cinderella
- Ozzy Osbourne
- Mötley Crüe
- Scorpions
- Bon Jovi

Kevin & Johnny discuss many topics about the Moscow Music Peace Festival:
- Our first hand experiences watching it for the first time
- Each bands performance and set list
- Behind the scenes drama with band manager Doc McGhee, and the ego issues between several of the bands.
- The differences between the original pay per view special and the limited DVD release and YouTube versions.

- Behind the scenes videos of the bands sight seeing Moscow.
- And the effect this event and the changes in Russia had on Scorpions lead singer Klaus Meine, who was inspired to write the Scorpions biggest hit, "Wind of Change".

Kevin and Johnny also have their Rock N Roll T-shirt check in, and discuss the recent bands they've seen, or going to see. And Johnny's awesome breakdown of his recent experience seeing Iron Maiden live on their current Greatest's Hits tour!

Kevin would like to thank his very special guest... Johnny K!

Please enjoy this special episode of the Fandom Podcast Network's, The Hair Metal Podcast!
Remember...every rose has its thorn, and on a steel horse... we will ride! HAIR METAL LIVES! Rock on everyone!

Culture Clash 137: The Fandom Hall of Fame Grows!

In this weeks Culture Clash Scott is away as he is still trying to clean up after last weeks gremlins leaving the Clash to go old School with Kyle and Kevin heading things up.

On this show we open with a conversation on Galaxy's Edge as it gets closer to opening at DisneyWorld and close to Kyle.

In news we discuss Disney+ being an add on option to Hulu, the fact that we have to remember the Double Tap with the Zombieland 2 trailer out now as well as talk of a returning streaming show and something old but new coming to Hulu.

In Buy it, Stream it or Unsee it Kevin talks Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and discuss two more streaming shows that have hit in the last week, Netflix's Another Life and Amazon's the Boys.

Finally it is time to add on to the Fandom Hall of Fame with a new wing The best Superhero performances on TV and Film.  It is an interesting list and did the guys get it right?

Only one way to know for sure  LET'S DO THIS THING!

Blood of Kings 113: Seacouver Tour Chronicles Part 3: Interview w/ Highlander Production Designer STEPHEN GEAGHAN and Sculptor & Art Director SUSAN "SUKI" PARKER!

- Our interviews for this Seacouver Tour Chronicles Part 3 is with Highlander Production Designer STEPHEN GEAGHAN and Sculptor & Art Director SUSAN "SUKI" PARKER.

Kevin interviews Stephen Geaghan and Susan "Suki" Parker together at Stephen's house in West Vancouver Canada. Stephen Geaghan discusses his career as a television and movie Production Designer. Stephen also talks about his experience working on the Highlander TV series as the Production Designer and how he helped design the Watchers logo and the Highlander TV series logo. Stephen was the production designer for many other popular TV shows like Lucifer, Defiance, V (2009), Defying Gravity, The 4400, Jeremiah, The Outer Limits and many more.

Kevin also interviewed Susan "Suki" Parker about her time as a sculptor working on the Highlander TV series. One of the most iconic sculptures Suki worked on was the "Wrath of Kali" statue. Suki has gone on to work as an Art Director on many productions like Lucifer, Defiance, V (2009), Defying Gravity, Fear Itself, The 4400, The Outer Limits and was the sculptor on the set of Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls.

Kevin would like to thank his Special Guests Stephen Geaghan & Susan "Suki" Parker for being on the Blood of Kings Highlander Podcast.

Culture Clash 136: Covering Comic Con, Remembering Rutger and Scott meets the FPNet Gremlins

We tried to warn him, don't feed them after midnight, don't expose them to direct sunlight, never ever get them wet and KEEP THEM OUT OF THE STUDIO!  Unfortunately Scott did not listen but he fought through a few technical difficulties to join Kevin and Kyle on this weeks jam packed Culture Clash.

This week we open up remembering a fandom Legend as we pay our respects to Rutger Hauer and his many contributions to fandom.

From there it is a deep dive into the news from San Diego comic con as we cover the Huge News from both Marvel and Star Trek that came from Hall H as well as several other announcements that made it a very eventful show.  We also discuss Tom Hanks becoming another american legend.  In buy it, stream it or unsee it we hit up the Lion King and a couple of other interesting films Kevin has seen while Kyle discusses his binge watch of Veronica Mars season 4!

We gotta get back to rounding up those Gremlins so enjoy while we do this thing!

TYPE 40: A Doctor Who Podcast

Episode 27: FAQ's About Time Travellers III – Simon Horton

If there's one thing Doctor Who devotees can do, just like their hero, it's talk! Returning guest voice on the newest Type 40, Simon Horton is no different. Remaining an enthusiastic fan, despite a successful and busy career in the TV industry himself. Asking him back, this time to answer our “Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travellers” was so obvious even an Ogron would do it....!

Whilst the format's simple, the answers rarely are! You'll be as eager to hear more as regular host Dan Hadley when the conversation hops through the decades: Which companions, creatures, Doctors and merchandise will Simon name as favourites? What were the Moment's that made this viewer a fan and which 80's bands will get a mention this time on Type 40: A Doctor Who Podcast...?

The Fandom Podcast Network is proud to be bringing you frank, fun and only very occasionally tangential talk from someone synonymous with this fandom for so long in Great Britain. So why won't he touch the Jelly Babies? Stream or download to find out.....

Culture Clash 135: Kevin Returns and Comic Con Arrives

On this weeks show Kyle's Kevin sense is in OVERDRIVE as Kevin makes his return to the Clash rejoining Kyle and Scott to bring you all the latest in Fandom news and reviews.

This week after catching up with Kevin and things he has seen and done the news shifts over to Taika returning for another round with the God of Thunder, The Game of Thrones award show (other wise known as the emmy's).  Then it is time to FINISH THEM as the new Mortal Combat movie that is in development is discussed and finally in news we discuss some very interesting takes on the clown prince of crime.

Afterwords it it time to dive deep into SDCC along with what we hope is coming and what we want to see.

Kevin is back but will he ever be able to sit in his old chair again???

DiscoVille 59: Such Sweet Sorrow Parts 1 & 2

Welcome to DiscoVille where we discuss both Star Trek DISCOvery AND The OrVILLE here on the Fandom Podcast Network. On this show we take an in-depth look at each of these shows and discover that both of them can co-exist in today's fandom...as they introduce us to fresh, new and exciting stories, characters, galactic destinations and so much more!

This week we go BIG as we cover the final two episode of Season 2 of Star Trek Discovery, Such Sweet Sorrow.
For this mission Kyle, Hayley and a returning Amy cover all their feelings on how this two part season finale handled wrapping up the stories of the season as well as what are we thought of the episodes themselves as well as the return and loss of some familiar faces, seeing the Enterprise on screen and a group of varying emotions on what Discovery accomplished with the finale.

They also discuss their thoughts on season 2 as a whole and where Discovery stands right now as part of Star Trek and what they hope might be ahead for Season 3 as the show has the chance to work with a fairly clean slate this upcoming season.

In Subspace signals the DiscoVille crew discusses the new Picard poster (and his new number 1?), Hayley brings us breaking news on the CBS/Viacom talks and even some breaking subspace signals on Discovery and the Saturn Awards.

The crew also takes a look at the fact that Star Trek will be having a very important and large presence at San Diego Comic Con this year as we discuss their Hall H event and some of the other Trek things that will be happening there as well as what we hope to hear not only from Comic-Con but the upcoming Star Trek Las Vegas Convention as well.

Finally we have a hail from one of our listeners with some points brought up from our Orville season 2 overview show.

It's a huge mission so let's get things started

Hailing frequencies are now open...........

Your Blood of Kings host Kevin Reitzel spent a week in Vancouver with Andy touring many locations from most of the Highlander filming locations in the Vancouver area which included many fan favorite episodes and iconic Highlander scenes and locations.

- Our interview for this Seacouver Tour Chronicles Part 2 is with Highlander Television Director RICHARD MARTIN! Richard Martin is a fan favorite Highlander TV Series director. Richard Martin has directed 9 Highlander Episodes:

TYPE 40: A Doctor Who Podcast

Episode 26: Series 12 News – Summer 2019

After months travelling the vortex, the Fandom Podcast Network's very own TARDIS returns to 2019 this time. For a full catch up on the long countdown to Doctor Who's return to television next year. Or is It late this year? Yes, there are all sorts of rumours running around like Adipose at the moment. With little coming from the production team themselves, how can host Dan possibly make any sense of it all....?

By roping in two companions from different perspectives of modern fandom, of course. One of the most outspoken figures on You Tube, Noel Glynn brings us a breakdown of filming up to now as well as the general view from The Tardis Zone.

Whilst TV industry professional Simon Horton is back with his perspective on the present and future of our beloved series. Combined with decades of active experience in our fandom. Type 40: A Doctor Who Podcast is proud to offer such a candid, honest and open conversation we know will get people talking. You're not going to want to miss a word!

TYPE 40: A Doctor Who Podcast

Episode 25: FAQ's About Time Travellers II – Adam O'Brien

Anything could happen aboard the Fandom Podcast Network's TARDIS this time, when Adam O'Brien stows away! Yes the “Fantha from Down Under” himself brings his memories of growing up watching our favourite series on ABC television. As well as answering some time honoured questions plucked from the Type 40's memory banks...

It's up to your host Dan to make sure the Web of Time can take it, as they chart the unique story of Doctor Who in what surely must be it's second home: Australia. Adam's a writer and one of SF and Fantasy genres most prolific pod-casters, so is bound to drop in lots of gold along the way!

There's not many TV series that bring people together quite like Doctor Who, as our regular Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travellers strand demonstrates. Come and enjoy this latest conversation on Type 40. Further proof how as different as our experiences and connections to it all may be, there's fascination in contrasting and and sharing them....

DiscoVille 57: The Orville Season 2 A Look Back

Welcome to DiscoVille where we discuss both Star Trek DISCOvery AND The OrVILLE here on the Fandom Podcast Network. On this show we take an in-depth look at each of these shows and discover that both of them can co-exist in today's fandom...as they introduce us to fresh, new and exciting stories, characters, galactic destinations and so much more!

This weeks mission is a big one that pulls in the full crew of Kyle, Hayley, Kevin and Amy as we take a look back at the second season of The Orville as a whole.  Which episodes stood out, was there any that did not hit the mark?  Who was the MVP of the season and who did we not get enough of?  Now that we know season 3 is coming what would we like to see happen in it and we also have a discussion on the internet debate on The Orville and Trek.

In Subspace Signals we do a deep dive into the Quentin Tarantino Star Trek rumors and give our thoughts on them as well as talking about the cast of Star Trek 2009 giving a special look to their lost crew member.

Also how did THAT get on Mars?!?!?!?

TYPE 40: A Doctor Who Podcast

Episode 24: The Whoniverse According to River Song

When maintenance on the Time-Space continuum takes it down to one lane, the Time Lords warn TARDIS's could collide... and that's exactly what happens on this edition of Type 40. Fugitive co-host Kyle Wagner's back, fumbling at the controls and brings Christian Basel of The Legend of the Traveling TARDIS show right into our console room!

It's only polite full license holder Dan Hadley invite Christian to stay to chat about the fan favourite character of River Song as played by Alex Kingston. As well as talk of audiobook adventures and answering the question of whether we could or should encounter her in TV series to come!

DiscoVille 56: Discovery S2 E:11 Perpetual Infinity

Welcome to DiscoVille where we discuss both Star Trek DISCOvery AND The OrVILLE here on the Fandom Podcast Network. On this show we take an in-depth look at each of these shows and discover that both of them can co-exist in today's fandom...as they introduce us to fresh, new and exciting stories, characters, galactic destinations and so much more!

This week the DiscoVille's mission is once again headed up by Kyle and Hayley as Kevin is busy with his relocation assignment and Amy is off on yet another Section 31 mission.  But that will not stop us as we take this mission on to look at the Discovery Episode Perpetual Infinity.

The Red Angel has been revealed and the fall out has begun as this weeks episode gives us a closer look at the Burnham family and just what has Dr. Burnham be doing with the Red Angel suit.  We will explore our thoughts on how these revelations effect not only the story this season but also how it changes our perception of Michael Burnham as well.

Let us not forget that Control is still out there and is starting to make it's move as well, things might never be the same for Leland and can Georgiou and Tyler stop Control before it gets what it needs to create the future Dr. Burnham has been trying to stop?  We discuss how well the story of control fits into this season of Discovery as well.

Finally with a lack of major news news this week we use subspace signals to take a look back at all the Picard news over the last few weeks and just what it means for Star Trek as a franchise as well.
