Episode 86: The Methuselah Trilogy Part 6: METHUSELAH'S GIFT - The Commentary

"Then give back the crystal and stay. Finish what you started! Learn! Has nobody ever forgiven you before? Then it's a very important lesson, indeed." - Rebecca Horne

Welcome to Part SIX of what Kevin and Norman have "officially" dubbed "THE METHUSELAH TRILOGY"; the three episodes from the Highlander Television Series that revolve around the mysterious and magical crystals of the legendary METHUSELAH STONE! Our retrospective and commentaries for these episodes begin with Season Two's LEGACY, and continue with the Season Four episodes: TIMELESS and METHUSELAH'S GIFT.

On this episode of Blood of Kings we continue our look into the Methuselah Stone legend with a COMMENTARY of the Season 4 Episode...METHUSELAH'S GIFT. This is actually KEVIN's favorite HIGHLANDER episode of all time. WHY you may ask? It doesn't have the best swordfight in Highlander...it doesn't have a Quickening...it doesn't have an evil immortal in it...it's not a 2-parter or a Season Finale. BUT...it does have THE BIG THREE immortals...DUNCAN, AMANDA and METHOS! So why is this KEVIN's favorite episode of all time?

Well...you will just have to listen and find out! But here's a hint, it has to do with Kevin's favorite theme in Highlander: The bond and loyalty between immortal friends, that is tested through trials, trust...and love.

Episode 26: Recapping Star Trek Las Vegas 2018

Welcome to DiscoVille where we discuss both Star Trek DISCOvery AND The OrVILLE here on the Fandom Podcast Network. On this show we take an in-depth look at each of these shows and discover that both of them can co-exist in today's fandom...as they introduce us to fresh, new and exciting stories, characters, galactic destinations and so much more!

I'm Norm, your shuttle podcaster for this episode and I have a very special diplomatic envoy with me who are hopefully recovering from their whirlwind tour of Star Trek Las Vegas 2018. I am so excited for this episode of DiscoVille because I have two of Trek.fm's best and brightest podcasters with me for this recording - my SESTRAS and two of my dearest friends: From Standard Orbit...their newly minted co-host - Miss Hayley Stoddart and from Earl Grey, The Edge, and Postcards from the Edge...Miss Amy Nelson!

We have taken a small break from our ORVILLE QUANTUM DRIVE REWATCH, but not to worry. We will return to covering all of the shenanigans that is The Orville in time for it's December 30th return to the airwaves. HOWEVER...Star Trek Las Vegas 2018 was just too large of a celebration to not cover. From the apparent overshadowing of Deep Space Nine's 25th Anniversary, to a well deserved celebration for the cast and crew of DISCOVERY and of course the ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE YEAR = Patrick Stewart returning to Star Trek as Jean-Luc Picard!!! Star Trek fans were once again treated to another memorable KHAN-vention and both Hayley and Amy were there for all of the excitement!

August 14, 2018
00:0000:00

Every now and then we do have to clean up some space here at the Fandom Podcast Network, however when we do we go through it and find those episodes that have something special or just a ton of fun and we will bring them back as an FPNet Classic!

For our first FPNet classic we are returning a show that was dear to all of us, our tribute to Carrie Fisher.  Recorded right after she had passed FPNet Co-Founders Kevin, Kyle and Norman were joined by FPnet friends and contributor's Davis Grayson, Matt Clifton and Michael Morris as we talked about our feelings about Carrie and our emotions at the time.

With the recent news of how Carrie will be incorporated into Episode IX we felt now was the time to bring back this special which was very special and emotion filled for all of us.  So join us now in going back and sharing this very special podcast with us.

For those of you who are hearing this for the first time we hope you enjoy our tribute to our Princess, Carrie Fisher.

Hair Metal Podcast: Episode 03: WARRANT, L.A. GUNS & J.C.'S TOUR WITH NIKKI SIXX!

Welcome to the Fandom Podcast Network's special presentation of...
THE HAIR METAL PODCAST!

The Hair Metal Podcast will cover bands that reached several levels of popularity and notoriety during the mid to late 1980's "HAIR METAL" explosion. We take an in-depth look into the bands that defined the style and sound of Hair Metal, and the many bands that may or may not be categorized as Hair metal, but did reach some popularity during the Hair Metal rush of the 1980's.

In this episode we discuss L.A. GUNS and WARRANT!

Kevin Reitzel is your host for The Hair Metal Podcast. Kevin welcomes special guest host J.C. REIFENBERG! Not only is J.C. Reifenberg a huge Hair Metal fan, he is also the proprietor of the very popular Los Angeles area SCUM AND VILLAINY Geek Themed bar!

In this episode of the Hair Metal Podcast:

-  J.C. Reifenberg's discusses the origin and details of his Scum & Villainy Geek Themed bar. J.C. also talks about his friendship and collaborations with director Kevin Smith, and Kevin' interest in Scum & Villainy!
Scum And Villainy Cantina Bar Links:
Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/scumandvillainycantina
Web: https://scumandvillainycantina.com/

- J.C. Reifenberg also recounts his Hair Metal Love Connection at a Ratt concert where he met his fiancée.

- A Lesson In Hair Band History:
"When Metal Ruled The World!" 80's LA Sunset Strip Story.
Kevin and J.C. discuss this fantastic short documentary that originally aired on VH1. This video brilliantly sums up the 80's excess and history of the Hair Metal era.

- Next up, we discuss the two highlighted bands for this episode!

01: Opening Band: L.A. GUNS

02: Headliner Band: WARRANT

We dive deep into the history of each of these bands including the impact they had on fans, the music industry, and where their legacy stands now. We will also discuss our favorite band members, albums, songs and our personal experiences seeing these bands perform live in concert, including a few close personal one on one encounters.

- Then , Kevin asks J.C. about his tour with Nikki Sixx and his band SIXX A.M.
J.C. looks back on his fantastic time touring with Nikki and SIXX A.M. as their videographer and social media manger.

- And finally, a Speed Round of J.C.'s  other favorite Hair Metal era bands.

Thank you J.C.!

Kevin would like to give a few extra very special thanks!
- Thank you David Walsh for getting Ace Von Johnson and Chad Stewart, members of Faster Pussycat to record the awesome intro bumper for the Hair Metal Podcast.
- Thank you Ace & Chad!

Good Evening Episode 20: Dog Days of Summer

In this episode of Good Evening: An Alfred Hitchcock Podcast, Tom Caldwell take the reigns alone and interviews Geiger and Lisa Lee of After Glow Kennels to talk about Sealyham Terriers. These dogs are a rare breed that Hitchcock loved, and are at risk of becoming exctinct. The Lee's are doing great work raising awareness of these animals, and their own dogs were onscreen in the 2012 biopic “Hitchcck.”

TYPE 40: A Doctor Who Podcast
Episode 4: Generational Doctors (Plus an Interview with Author Jonathan Melville)

Welcome to TYPE 40: A Doctor Who Podcast here on The Fandom Podcast Network! On this podcast, we will take an in-depth and closer look at this beloved television series that has shaped the landscape of science fiction for over five decades, and we are counting down the days towards Jodi Whittaker's Doctor Who SEASON 11 to premiere very soon this fall!

On this episode of Type 40 Kyle along with Dan and Norm explore the two Doctor's who at this moment in time seem to stand out as being the most recognized for being the Doctor.  Plus as is usually the case each one represent a different period one from Classic Who and one from Modern Who.

We are of course talking about the 4th Doctor Tom Baker and the 10th Doctor David Tennant.

We get into the Type 40 and take a look at what made these two Doctor's stand out so much, from the stories to the companions to the creators to the men themselves we try and cover as many angle's as possible on these to "Generational Doctor's"

We also have a special surprise guest for you as FPNet Co-Founder Kevin Reitzel sat down recently with author Jonathan Melville to discuss his upcoming 1986 Highlander book (The Highlander book Interview is coming soon to the Blood of Kings Highlander podcast on the Fandom Podcast Netwrok). During Kevin's recent trip to Edinburgh Scotland, he met up with Jonathan to interview him regarding his new book, and found out Jonathan himself, is a true Whovian.  So they sat down and talked about his favorite Doctor, companion as well as sharing a great David Tennant story that is a must listen.

Blood of Kings: A Highlander Podcast
Episode 85: The Methuselah Trilogy Part 5: METHUSELAH'S GIFT - The Retrospective

Welcome to Part FIVE of what Kevin and Norman have "officially" dubbed "THE METHUSELAH TRILOGY"; the three episodes from the Highlander Television Series that revolve around the mysterious and magical crystals of the legendary METHUSELAH STONE! Our retrospective and commentaries for these episodes begin with Season Two's LEGACY, and continue with the Season Four episodes: TIMELESS and METHUSELAH'S GIFT.

On this episode of Blood of Kings we continue our look into the Methuselah Stone legend with a RETROSPECTIVE of the Season 4 Episode...METHUSELAH'S GIFT. This is actually KEVIN's favorite HIGHLANDER episode of all time. WHY you may ask? It doesn't have the best swordfight in Highlander...it doesn't have a Quickening...it doesn't have an evil immortal in it...it's not a 2-parter or a Season Finale. BUT...it dose have THE BIG THREE immortals...DUNCAN, AMANDA and METHOS! So why is this KEVIN's favorite episode of all time?

Well...you will just have to listen and find out! But here's a hint, it has to do with Kevin's favorite theme in Highlander: The bond and loyalty between immortal friends, that is tested through trials, trust...and love.

Methos -"You understand nothing. Three weeks ago, we were standing on a beach on Santorini watching the sun rise on the Mediterranean. Now, she is lying in a hospital in Switzerland breathing through a tube. You think it takes courage to do what we do? Face another Immortal with a sword knowing only one of you will live? You try being her! You try living one year knowing that your time is running out, knowing that when it comes to the final fight, however much you train, whatever tricks you have, you still lose! That's the way it is for them. So little time for them to see anything or do anything."

Amanda - "I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry."

DiscoVille: A Star Trek DISCOVERY and THE ORVILLE Podcast
Episode 25: EPIC Subspace Signals from San Diego!

On this episode of DiscoVille, your shuttle-podcasters Norm, Kyle and Hayley Stoddart (from Trek.fm's Standard Orbit) plot a course through the massive amounts of updated news, images and videos released during this year's San Diego Comic-Con. For several months now, the Star Trek Discovery and The Orville social media news feeds have been slightly anemic, as speculation has given way to rumor and rumor to anxiety...as to when and if either of these shows were going to deliver any new information before the prime time convention season. And both respective fandoms did not disappoint! In fact, they have re-ignited so much excitement in many fans; a feeling that has been dormant since both shows went dark after their respective first seasons.

So please join us as we decrypt as many of these new Subspace signals as we can possibly can before we reach  critical mass and the Officer's Lounge explodes in a big blazing ball of Trailery and Spoilery goodness!!! Yes...there are spoilers for those of you who have not been keeping up with current events - so make sure you watch all of the new releases for both Star Trek Discovery and The Orville because both of their Seasons 2 will be approaching maximum warp and will be rattling the deckplates!!!

Blood of Kings: A Highlander Podcast Episode 84: The Methuselah Trilogy Part 4: TIMELESS - The Commentary

July 25, 2018

Blood of Kings: A Highlander Podcast
Episode 84: The Methuselah Trilogy Part 4: TIMELESS - The Commentary

"Maybe when the candle burns for a shorter time, it burns brighter." - Joe Dawson

Welcome to Part FOUR of what Kevin and Norman have "officially" dubbed "THE METHUSELAH TRILOGY"; the three episodes from the Highlander Television Series that revolve around the mysterious and magical crystals of the legendary METHUSELAH STONE! Our retrospective and commentaries for these episodes began with Season Two's LEGACY, and continue with the Season Four episodes: TIMELESS and METHUSELAH'S GIFT.

On this episode of Blood of Kings we continue our look into the Methuselah Stone legend with a COMMENTARY of the Season 4 Episode...TIMELESS. This is actually NORM's favorite HIGHLANDER episode of all time. WHY you may ask? It doesn't have the best swordfight in Highlander...it doesn't have a Quickening...it doesn't have Amanda in it...it's not a 2-parter or a Season Finale...or have any real LEGENDARY moments as seen in what many fans consider the BEST of Highlander: The Samurai, Band of Brothers, Comes a Horseman and Revelations 6:8...and in many ways, this episode is fairly unremarkable and to many, probably a very above average episode. So WHY is it Norm's favorite episode of all time?

Well...you will just have to listen and find out! But here's a hint, it has to do with Norm's favorite theme in Highlander: Who wants to live forever when love must die?

TYPE 40: A Doctor Who Podcast
Episode 2: The FOURTH Doctor BLUs

Welcome to TYPE 40: A Doctor Who Podcast here on The Fandom Podcast Network! On this podcast, we will take an in-depth and closer look at this beloved television series that has shaped the landscape of science fiction for over five decades, and we are counting down the days towards Jodi Whittaker's Doctor Who SEASON 11 to premiere very soon this fall!

On this episode of TYPE 40, your co-pilots Norm, Kyle and Dan are ready to help you navigate through the multiple names and offerings of the TOM BAKER Fourth Doctor Blu Ray Set! That's right Whovians! Tom Baker's Season ONE...or Season 12...depends on WHO you ask, because technically those titles are BOTH right. We will discuss the Blu Ray set in general, the episodes, the technical specifications and the differences between the multiple offerings that Norm laments upon as he gazes so fondly at the UK set and sheds a dramatic (or traumatic) tear as he compares the UK set to it's anemic US counterpart.

So please join us on TYPE 40: A Doctor Who Podcast as we get ready for a whole new era of our beloved science fiction franchise. There's no better TIME like the PRESENT to be a part of HISTORY!!! AND there's no better time, or collection really, to jump into the era of one of, if not THE most beloved Doctor of all time!

Culture Clash 94: The Return of the “Real Co-Host” Plus our Comic Con Preview

July 19, 2018
00:0000:00

Culture Clash 94: The Real "Co-Host's" Strike Back

Kevin is away on a special assignment so Kyle has been left all alone and due to some legal action by some guy named Taylor he has had to allow for the return of the "Real Co-Host's" (is that anything like the Real Ghostbuster's?) Michael Morris and Alex Autrey to return to their hosting duties.

Once we get through all the catching up and other things out of the way we hit some Let's News and in this weeks edition we talk the following

  • Billy Dee is back as Lando
  • Keri Russell is joining episode IX to
  • Joss Whedon with a new show on HBO
  • The first Godzilla: King of the Monster's Images
  • Black Widow Movie finds a director
  • Just how Many Joker Movies can we get?

After some news we go into our special Comic Con 2018 preview where we talk what we think might come out of comic con and what are some things going into it that might need to be addressed.  We not only talk Movies but also TV and Comics as well.

Then a very special edition of From the Inkwell as Kyle and Mike Sellers get together to discuss the passing of Steve Ditko and his important place in comics history.

Finally in Buy it, Stream it or Unsee it Michael and Alex discuss some of their summer movie experiences including Ant-Man and the Wasp and Won't you be My Neighbor.

The "Real Co-Host's" are back and it is not April fools (the FPNet apologizes in advance) and Let's do this thing!

Seeking the ultimate power of the Methuselah Stone is Luther, one of Rebecca's former students who kills her as he hunts down each crystal which are in the possession of each of Rebecca's remaining students - including Amanda. Standing in Luther's way is Duncan, who whether Amanda wants his help or not, leads to an exciting climax.

But the question remains: Is the power of the Methuselah Stone real or just a legend? Duncan is skeptical...Amanda is curious...but the threat of Luther's end game is real - IF the Methuselah Stone is as powerful as Luther believes it to be...

July 11, 2018
00:0000:00
This past Christmas the seeds for Type 40 might have been subconsciously planted (who knows what that Doctor does) as Kyle led a special Who Christmas special along with fellow FPNet member Davis Grayson and at the time (not yet knowing what he was getting into) Dan Hadley.  They discussed the upcoming Christmas Specials, the latest regeneration which is bringing us our first female Doctor, a look back at the history of the Christmas episodes and what the current state of who was at the time.  So step into the Type 40 Tardis as we travel back and see where it all may have begun!  Geronimo!!!!!

Culture Clash 92: The Kevin Icee Overdose Edition

July 10, 2018
00:0000:00

Recorded right before July 4th but running a bit late because Kyle's computer was attacked by the Ultron A.I.

As Kevin deals with the comedown of his Icee overdose and the distractions of vacation Kyle tries to keep him focused to cover a few things in this episode of the Clash
In Let's News we look at

  • Showtimes announcement of a Halo TV series
  • Star Trek Discovery at Hall H of SDCC
  • Luke Cage Wants a former president to be in season 3

Then it is time for some Infinity War therapy as the good doctors discuss the issue of the missing hero's from Infinity War and what the new hero introduced at the end is all about.

In Buy it, Stream it or Unsee it Kevin is all about Sicaro Day of the Soldato

Then Kyle pulls from his cloud in a special anime edition to discuss Attack on Titan Season 2

Finally Kevin give Kyle the pick one of the two movie challenge.

Sorry for the lateness of the show and Kevin coming down from his Icee hangover but hey let's do this thing!

Welcome to another offseason Endzone NFL Podcast special on the Fandom Podcast Network! Although the 2018 NFL football season hasn't started, there is still a lot of offseason news to talk about. Your Endzone hosts Kevin and Kyle welcome back one of their favorite past guests, Murf, from Raider Fans Radio podcast!

Much to Kevin's delight, Murf's guest spot meant there would be much Raiders discussion! However Kevin & Kyle do talk with Murf about plenty of other NFL offseason news, speculation and analysis on the upcoming 2018 season.

Here is a list of the many topics the Endzone hosts discuss with Murf:

- Andrew Luck's health and speculation of his return.

- Raiders Khalil Mack and Rams Aaron Donald camp hold outs.

- Falcons Julio Jones camp hold out.

- Le'veon Bell, another franchise tag year? His last year as a Steeler?

- Raiders & Cheifs 2018 predictions and the AFC West analysis.

- Derek Carr expectations.

- Impact of the Monday Night Raiders & Rams week one game.

- Murf's NFL League prediction Speed Round!

Kevin and Kyle would like to thank Murf, from Raiders Fan Radio of coming on this special edition of the Endzone off season special. To find Murf and his podcast, please search "Raiders Fan Radio" online and on all of your podcast catchers.

Blood of Kings 081: Methuselah’s Trilogy - LEGACY, The Retrospective

July 3, 2018
00:0000:00
Blood of Kings 081: Methuselah's Trilogy - LEGACY, The Retrospective

Welcome to a special Blood of Kings episode, the first act, or part one, of what Kevin and Norman like to call "THE METHUSELAH'S TRILOGY". The Highlander Television series of three episodes that center around the mysterious and magical properties of The Methuselah's stones. Our retrospective and commentaries for these episodes start with the Season 2 episode "LEGACY". Then continue with Season 4 episodes "TIMELESS" & "METHUSELAH'S GIFT".

In the episode of Blood of Kings, we look back at the episode that started the Methuselah's legend, with a retrospective of the Season 2 Episode "LEGACY". In this episode we are first introduced to Amanda's origins including the introduction of her mentor, master, and original keeper of the "Methuselah Stones", Rebecca Horne. Things get complicated when one of Rebecca's former students, Luther, kills her for one of the stones. Then Luther seeks out Rebecca's other students, whom she bestowed each with a separate stone in good faith, including Amanda. Luther seeks and legendary power of the Methuselah Stones, that are given to its holder when all of the stones are brought together.

Standing in Luther's way is Duncan, who whether Amanda wants his help or not, leads to an exciting climax. But the question remains, is the power of the Methuselah Stones real or just legend? Duncan is skeptical, Amanda is curious, but the threat of Luther's end game is real.

We hope you enjoy this special episode of Blood of Kings 081: Methuselah's Trilogy - LEGACY,  The Retrospective.

Are the Methuselah's stones as powerful as Luther believes them to be? We are excited to explore this question, and bring you Part 1 of The Methuselah's Trilogy, with LEGACY!

Join your DiscoVille shuttle podcaster co-pilots as they engage the Quantum Drive engine and travel back to October 5th, 2017 to re-live their very first experience with The Orville's 5th episode: PRIA, in this first official re-watch of The Orville here on DiscoVille!

PRIA continued The Orville's upward climb as the Freshman science fiction show for the FOX network. By this time, fans...many of whom were once detractors and critics, began to take note of the incredible social media groundswell of support for this show. Not only was The Orville giving fans something original...it was doing so with a very high level of respect towards Star Trek: The Next Generation; capturing the essence and the optimism of the 90's science fiction. We also were treated to another star powered performance from one Hollywood's biggest actresses as Charlize Theron commanded each and every scene as the gorgeous and roguish Captain Pria Levesque.

There's no better way to pass the time waiting for Season Two...than with a comprehensive and in-depth look at each and every episode of Season One so let's...ENGAGE THE QUANTUM DRIVE!!!

Culture Clash 2018 GI Joe Con Live Special - The Last Joe Con.

June 30, 2018
00:0000:00

The 2018 GI Joe Convention took place June 21-24 at the Chattanooga Convention Center, in Chattanooga Tennessee. Joe Con was celebrating its 25 wonderful years of conventions and GI Joe Fandom. But the celebration was a bit bittersweet, because it was also to be the last Joe Con. Although it was the last Joe Con, fans, exhibitors, and organizers spirits were still very high throughout the entire weekend.

To help celebrate this last Joe Con, Kevin Reitzel, cofounder of the Fandom Podcast Network and member of the GI Joe Finest, and his guest host Johnny Karzai, the Public Relations Officer for the Finest, decided to podcast live from the Marriott hotel on Friday night June 22nd. As it tuned out, this was the place to be for Joe Con fans and attendees. The party started at 8pm and the live podcasting started shortly after.

After a quick introduction, Kevin and Johnny started out with fantastic news about the Finest goals for its chosen charity "K9's For Warriors",  that were celebrated at the Finest booth at Joe Con.

Then what came next, was a fantastic lineup of great guest interviews.

Joe Con Live Podcasat Guest List:

1.    Noel Wood: XO of the Southern Command (Georgia garrison of the Finest)
2.    Keith Mandeville: (Quartermaster of the Finest)
3.    John Kozin: organizer of the Northeast Toy & Collectibles Show
4.    William Jay: CO of the Capital Defense Regiment (DC-area garrison of the Finest)
5.    Gray Childs: everyone’s favorite human
6.    Joe Colton (CO of the Finest) & Maggie Cogan (Membership Liaison Officer of the Finest)

We would like to thank all of the guests that came on this live Joe Con podcast special. Thank you for sharing your stories, experiences and personal accounts of Joe Con and your GI Joe Fandom.

Kevin would also like to give a special thanks to his fellow GI Joe Finest Costume Members for a most memorable Joe Con weekend!

Welcome to the Church of the FPNet and once again it is time for Confessional!

Kevin and Kyle have both made confessions and have inspired fellow FPNet Co-Founder Norman to make a confession about one of his biggest fandoms STAR TREK!  Will it break the internet??

SyFy looking to make a show out of Clive Barker's Nightbreed

Kevin then gives a brief overview of his adventures at JoeCon 2018

In Buy it, Stream it or Unsee it we take a look at one of the big movies of the summer season  Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom.  Plus Kyle dives deep into Marvel on Netflix with looks at both Jessica Jones Season 2 and the recently released Luke Cage Season 2

Plus we bring something new to the Clash as Kevin brings us Star Wars Audio from a Galaxy Far Far Away.  A look at the Star Wars audiobook family.

This weeks choice:

The Courtship of Princess Leia

All this and so much more at your home for Fandom News, Reviews and whatever crazy stuff we find.  Let's do this thing!

The Hair Metal Podcast: Episode 02: CINDERELLA, TESLA, POISON!

June 29, 2018
00:0000:00
The Hair Metal Podcast: Episode 02: CINDERELLA, TESLA, POISON!

We here at the Fandom Podcast Network celebrate all kinds of fandom. We're excited to include MUSIC into our Fandom Family. Specifically though... we are proud to discuss the glam of...1980's Hair Metal!!

Kevin Reitzel is your host for this Fandom Podcast Network's special presentation of The Hair Metal Podcast. Kevin's special guest host for this episode is his friend, fellow Raider fan, and co-host of the Raiders Fan Radio Podcast... Please welcome Murf!

The Hair Metal Podcast will cover bands that reached several levels of popularity and notoriety during the mid to late 1980's "Hair Metal" explosion, and through its eventual decline in the early 90's. The Hair Metal Podcast will cover many bands that defined the look and sound of Hair Metal, and many bands that may or may not be categorized as Hair metal, but did reach some popularity during the Hair Metal rush of the 1980's.

In this episode of the Hair Metal Podcast, we're going to discuss:

- A Lesson In Hair Band History: Poison's INFAMOUS and disastrous live performance at 1991 MTV Video Music Awards, with a heavily drugged out C.C. Devile.

Next up, we discuss the three highlighted bands for this episode!

- Opening Band #1: CINDERELLA

- Opening Band #2: TESLA (with an interesting discussion of what is a "Hair Band".

- Headliner Band #3: POISON

- Speed Round of Murf's other favorite Hair Metal era bands

We dive deep into the history of each of these bands including the impact they had on fans, the music industry, and where their legacy stands now. We will also discuss our favorite band members, albums, songs and any personal experiences seeing these bands perform live in concerts, including any up close personal one on one encounters.

Please enjoy the Fandom Podcast Network's, The Hair Metal Podcast. We will tease our hair with Aqua Net, slip on those tight ripped jeans, leather pants or Lip Service attire, and rock out in that leather motorcycle jacket! Remember...every rose has its thorn, and on a steel horse... we will ride!

HAIR METAL LIVES! Rock on everyone!

Blood of Kings: A Highlander Podcast Episode 80: The Fans Have Chosen…The WORST Highlander Episodes!

June 25, 2018
00:0000:00
Blood of Kings: A Highlander Podcast
Episode 80: The Fans Have Chosen...The WORST Highlander Episodes!

As Kevin and Norman wrapped up Blood of Kings episodes 78 and 79 regarding their choices for Highlander Season 2's “See It or Skip It” retrospective, Kevin realized there was the opportunity to open up their discussion a little bit wider. So, he posted a poll on the Official Blood of Kings FaceBook Fandom Page and asked all of the Blood of Kings Members what THEIR choices were for the WORST, or as Norm's likes to say, the "LEAST popular" episodes of Highlander.

Since that poll posting, a spirited debate developed on what may be considered the WORST Highlander episodes. In addition to The Zone & Bad Day In Building A, other nominations were entertained and even expertly debated with the knowledge and passion that only Highlander fans can infuse into something as subjective as these "worst" choices. ALSO...several prominent creatives to the Highlander series, most notably Donna Lettow and directors Richard Martin AND the formidable Clay Borris weighed in on their own choices — much to the surprise and amusement of many!

We hope you enjoy this very fun and spirited episode that celebrates these handful of infamous episodes...what David Abramowitz would probably have labeled "The Stinkers." Enjoy!

Maximum Couch Potato Theater: Mad Max 2, The Road Warrior (1981) Retrospective

The Fandom Podcast Network’s Couch Potato Theater Proudly Presents:
Maximum Couch Potato Theater: Mad Max 2, The Road Warrior (1981) Retrospective.
Part Two: Mad Max 2 “The Road Warrior”

The Fandom Podcast Network presents, an all new 4 part series, of Couch Potato Theatre specials, looking at the amazing, George Miller series of films: MAD MAX.
We’ll be looking at all four films, one by one in a four separate specials.

Your host: Adam O’Brien; Australian Correspondent of Fantha Tracks is joined by cofounding members of the andom Podcast Network: Kevin M. Reitzel and Kyle Wagner. We also have special guests Brad Macca, and Joshua Stolte - aka"JediShua"  on to chat about their thoughts on Mad Max 2, The Road Warrior!

On tonight’s special we’re taking you back to when Max Rockatansky voyaged into the Wasteland and got stuck in the middle of a territorial dispute between two warring factions over guzzoline.

Released in 1981, this is one of the greatest Aussie films ever made and one of the most amazing sequels, and also set the bar high for the post apocalyptic genre of film making. At its heart, this is a western, but also has a great Ronin story at its core.

Set some years after the original film, Max has been roaming the wilds of the lawless wasteland bent only on day to day survival. When he happens on an autogyro he meets the pilot who tells him of a place where he can get “ka-chunk, ka-chunk, ka-chunk” guzzoline, enough to last him years in the Wasteland.

Max and the Gyro Captain go to the fuel town, and find a gang of marauders led by the charismatic “Lord Humungous” laying siege to the group of settlers. Max meets the settlers, and agrees to help them escape in exchange for fuel. What follows is a vicious Road War!

Join us, and enjoy... Part Two: Mad Max 2, The Road Warrior, retrospective!
