In this special edition of Time Warp, we will cover the year in movies and pop culture for 1995. Over the last few years here at the Fandom Podcast Network, we celebrated the movies of the 1980's, and last year we stepped into the year of 1993. But this year, the movies of 1995 celebrate their 25th Anniversary. So we decided to Time Travel back to the 90's again, and look back on the fantastic year of movies and pop culture of 1995!

We also will visit the B-Movie / Drive In or Straight to VHS, Laserdisc or Skin-a-max Theater, where we will highlight a few movies that didn't quick make it into pop culture and have been buried in the black hole of the 1995 movie library.
1995 gave us a great year in movies, an that's what we are here to celebrate on this special presentation of the Time Warp here on the Fandom Podcast Network. Many 1995 movies became legendary with box office receipts to back it up. Some became cult classics. And some 1995 movies were so bad, they were good. In this special episode of the Blood of Kings a Highlander Podcast your hosts Kevin & Lee take you through the many ROCK STARS and recording artists that appeared on the Highlander TV series as guests.
Highlander: The Series defined the careers of Adrian Paul and his fellow co-stars, aligning them with characters that would become their legacies. The series provided early on-screen appearances for the likes of now-mega actors Jason Isaacs, Laurie Holden, Alexis Denisof, Ron Perlman, and Marion Cotillard, as well as guest roles for everyone from former Miss America Elizabeth Gracen to wrestler Roddy Piper. But perhaps its most unique casting quality was the number of prominent musicians who turned up for work. From single-episode parts performed with questionable acting skills to recurring, regular characters with believable arcs and conviction, Highlander gave a number of well-known musicians a run in front the camera. For some, it was one of only a few times they would be hired as actors. For others, it launched successful side careers on the screen.

Join us for this very special edition of Couch Potato Theater as we look back on the 1993 action classic "DEMOLITION MAN". Demolition Man is a 1993 action film directed by Marco Brambilla in his directorial debut. The film stars Sylvester Stallone and Wesley Snipes. The film was released in the United States on October 8, 1993. The film tells the story of two men: an evil crime lord and a risk-taking police officer. Cryogenically frozen in 1996, they are reanimated in 2032 to find mainstream society changed and all crime seemingly eliminated.
Demolition Man Plot Synopsis:
Frozen in 1996, Simon Phoenix, a convicted crime lord, is revived for a parole hearing well into the 21st century. Revived into a society free from crime, Phoenix resumes his murderous rampage, and no one can stop him. John Spartan, the police officer who captured Phoenix in 1996, has also been cryogenically frozen, this time for a crime he did not commit. In 2032, the former cities of Los Angeles, San Diego and Santa Barbara have merged into peaceful, utopian San Angeles. Unable to stop him with their non-violent solutions, the police release Spartan to help recapture Phoenix. Now after 36 years, Spartan has to adapt himself to the future society he has no knowledge about.

The Hair Metal Podcast cover bands that reached several levels of popularity and notoriety during the mid to late 1980's "Hair Metal" explosion. We take an in-depth look into the bands that defined the style and sound of Hair Metal, and many other bands that may or may not be categorized as Hair metal, but did reach some popularity during the Hair Metal rush of the 1980's.
Bang Tango was one of those bands that were on the edge of approaching super stardom during the Hair Metal scene in the late 80's. Bang Tango was formed in 1988 in Los Angeles by guitarist Mark Knight and bassist Kyle Kyle in 1988. Knight recruited a second guitarist Kyle Stevens. Soon after vocalist Joe Leste joined the band as its front man which led to Leste's childhood friend, Tigg Ketler, completing the 5 piece line up as Bang Tango's drummer.
After the original members disbanded in the mid 1990's to pursue other musical ventures, die hard Bang Tango fans always wondered if we would see the original lineup reunite. About 25 years later and to the delight of these fans, original guitarist and founding member Mark Knight went to social media to announce a reunion show with all original Bang Tango members. They would play their first show all together at the famous Whiskey A Go Go in West Hollywood on January 25th, 2020.
Your Hair Metal podcast host Kevin attended this show, and Bang Tango did NOT disappoint! They rocked! Kevin is honored to have Mark Knight back on this special episode of the Hair Metal podcast to discuss how the reunion came about. Here are some of the topics they discussed.
