Join us on the Couch as we look back and celebrate the best Teen Vampire movie of all time; 'The Lost Boys' (1987). Your Couch Potato Theater host Kevin R. is  joined by Erin G., Jennifer W. and Kyle W. as they discuss their favorite moments, actors, quotes, scenes and trivia from one of the most beloved and influential vampire movies of all time. This movie has a high re-watchability and represents everything that Couch Potato Theater is all about.

The Lost Boys is a black comedy horror film directed by Joel Schumacher, produced by Harvey Bernhard with a screenplay written by Jeffrey Boam. Janice Fischer and James Jeremias wrote the film's story. The film's ensemble cast includes Corey Haim, Jason Patric, Kiefer Sutherland, Jami Gertz, Corey Feldman, Dianne Wiest, Edward Herrmann, Alex Winter, Jamison Newlander, and Barnard Hughes. The title is a reference to the Lost Boys in J. M. Barrie's stories about Peter Pan and Neverland, who, like the vampires, never grow up. Most of the film was shot in Santa Cruz, California.

The Lost Boys Plot Description:
Financial troubles force a recent divorcée and her teenage sons Mike and Sam to settle down with her father in the California town of Santa Carla. The town is plagued by bikers and some mysterious deaths. At first, Sam laughs off rumors he hears about vampires who inhabit the small town, until he makes friends with two other boys who claim to be vampire hunters. But after Mike meets a beautiful girl at the local amusement park, he begins to exhibit the classic signs of vampirism, sleeping days and staying out all night, and is drawn into the gang of bikers by the beautiful girl. The younger boy starts getting into trouble because of his friends' obsession. Fearing for his own safety, Sam recruits the two young vampire hunters to save his brother by finding and destroying the head vampire.

Real Genius is a 1985 science fiction comedy film directed by Martha Coolidge, written by Neal Israel, Pat Proft and Peter Torokvei, and starring Val Kilmer and Gabriel Jarret. The film is set on the campus of Pacific Tech, a science and engineering university similar to Caltech. Chris Knight (Kilmer) is a genius in his senior year working on a chemical laser. Mitch Taylor (Jarret) is a new student on campus who is paired up with Knight to work on the project.

Real Genius (1985) Plot synopsis:
Mitch Taylor is one of the youngest students ever accepted to a university known for its programs for geniuses. He partners up with his roommate, science club legend Chris Knight, on a project to develop a high-powered laser. Together with their hyperkinetic friends, they employ their intellects in the pursuit of bigger blasts, practical jokes, and a deeper understanding of what real genius means. When they find out that their professor intends to turn their work over to the military for use as a weapon, they decide to get even.

The Karate Kid follows Daniel LaRusso (Macchio), a teenager taught Gōjū-ryū karate by Mr. Miyagi (Morita) to help defend himself and compete in a tournament against his bullies.

Your Blood of Kings Highlander podcast hosts Kevin and Lee have another epic extended interview with Highlander: Endgame actor Ian Paul Cassidy, who portrayed one of the villains of Jacob Kell's immortal posse; 'Cracker Bob'. Ian was very generous with his time, as this is the second of two interviews he granted us. Kevin and Lee interview Ian about his Highlander Endgame 'Virtual Scrap Book', that contains hundreds of behind the scenes pictures that Ian took on his personal camera. Which include his training and filming on the Romania set of Highlander: Endgame. These pictures also include many after hours adventures of fun and sightseeing that Ian and his fellow cast members did to unwind and relax.

Predator is a 1987 sci-fi action horror film directed by John McTiernan and written by brothers Jim and John Thomas. It stars Arnold Schwarzenegger as the leader of an elite paramilitary rescue team on a mission to save hostages in guerrilla-held territory in Central America, who encounter the deadly Predator, a technologically-advanced alien who stalks and hunts them down.

For this special presentation of Predator (1987) your Couch Potato Theater hosts Kevin and Kyle welcome very special guests, the DragonCon Predator Costume Group! Your DragonCon Predator Costume Group members are Johnny Karzai (Blain), Wendell Smith (Mac), John Cage (Dillon), William Jay (Poncho) and Keith Mandeville (Hawkins). Not only are these guys huge fans of this original Predator movie, they are experts on the Predator characters, music, dialog, most rewatchable scenes and the overall history of this iconic film. Predator not only is one of those most revered action sci-fi movies of all time, its also a movie that has aged extremely well, for a 33 year old film.

Your Blood of Kings Highlander podcast hosts Kevin and Lee have an epic extended interview with Highlander: Endgame actor Ian Paul Cassidy, who portrayed one of the villains of Jacob Kell's immortal posse; 'Cracker Bob'. Ian was very generous with his time. Kevin and Lee interview Ian about his childhood, early acting career, and his experience on his other movie and television projects. 

Your Blood of Kings hosts Kevin & Lee, and special guest Ian also wanted to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Highlander Endgame. Ian talks about his character Cracker Bob, his experiences working on the film and with his fellow co-stars, including Adrian Paul, Bruce Payne, Donnie Yen and his adventures behind the scenes, including hanging out with Christopher Lambert. Kevin and Lee also talk with Ian about his special Highlander project that he's been working on, a Highlander Endgame "Virtual Scrap Book" that contains hundreds of behind the scenes pictures that Ian took on his personal camera, while doing his training and filming on the Romania set of Highlander: Endgame. These pictures also include many after hours adventures of fun and sightseeing that Ian and his fellow cast members did to unwind and relax. On the next episode of Part 2 of Blood Of Kings Highlander Podcast 136, Ian Paul Cassidy will be back on to discuss the Highlander Endgame "Virtual Scrap Book" in more detail, so stay tuned!

The plot follows slacker friends Bill (Winter) and Ted (Reeves), who travel through time to assemble historical figures for their high school history presentation. Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey is a 1991 science fiction comedy film, and the feature directorial debut of Pete Hewitt. It is the second film in the Bill & Ted franchise, and a sequel to Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure (1989). Keanu Reeves, Alex Winter and George Carlin reprise their roles.

It stars Charlie Sheen, Kiefer Sutherland, Chris O'Donnell, Oliver Platt, Tim Curry, and Rebecca De Mornay. The film is loosely based on the 1844 novel The Three Musketeers (Les Trois Mousquetaires) by Alexandre Dumas. It recounts the adventures of D'Artagnan on his quest to join the three title characters in becoming a musketeer.  

The Three Musketeers Plot Synopsis:
The three best of the disbanded Musketeers - Athos (Kiefer Sutherland), Porthos (Oliver Platt), and Aramis (Charlie Sheen) - join a young hotheaded would-be-Musketeer, D'Artagnan (Chris O'Donnell), to stop Cardinal Richelieu's (Tim Curry's) evil plot: to form an alliance with enemy England by way of the mysterious Countess D'Winter (Rebecca De Mornay). Rochefort (Michael Wincott), the Cardinal's right-hand man, announces the official disbanding of the King's Musketeers. Three, however, refuse to throw down their swords - Athos, the fighter and drinker, Porthos, the pirate and lover, and Aramis, the priest and poet. Arriving in Paris to join the Musketeers, D'Artagnan uncovers the Cardinal's plans, and the four set out on a mission to protect King Louis (Hugh O'Conor) and France.

10 Things I Hate About You is a 1999 American romantic comedy film directed by Gil Junger and starring Julia Stiles, Heath Ledger, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Larisa Oleynik. The screenplay, written by Karen McCullah Lutz and Kirsten Smith, is a modernization of William Shakespeare's late-16th-century comedy The Taming of the Shrew, retold in a late-1990s American high school setting. In the story, new student Cameron (Gordon-Levitt) is smitten with Bianca (Oleynik) and, in order to get around her father's strict rules on dating, attempts to get bad boy Patrick (Ledger) to date Bianca's ill-tempered sister, Kat (Stiles). The film is titled after a poem written by Kat about her bittersweet romance with Patrick.

Welcome to Couch Potato Theater and hope you join us for the 1985 who done it comedy CLUE.  Join Kyle (who might have done it in the ballroom with the candlestick) Hayley (Who might have done it in the Library with the rope) and special guest Carl Wonders (who might have done it in the Kitchen with the Knife) as they take a deep dive into this cult classic comedy/mystery based on the popular board game.

Clue Movie Synopsis:

Based on the popular board game, this comedy begins at a dinner party hosted by Mr. Boddy (Lee Ving), where he admits to blackmailing his visitors. These guests, who have been given aliases, are Mrs. Peacock (Eileen Brennan), Miss Scarlet (Lesley Ann Warren), Mr. Green (Michael McKean), professor Plum (Christopher Lloyd), Mrs. White (Madeline Kahn) and Col. Mustard (Martin Mull). When Boddy turns up murdered, all are suspects, and together they try to figure out who is the killer.

Join our motley crew of detectives (or are they the murderer?!?!?) as we investigate the chaos, the comedy and they mystery of CLUE!
