The Boondock Saints 2: All Saints Day is a 2009 American film written and directed by Troy Duffy. The film serves as a sequel to the 1999 film The Boondock Saints. The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension, often shortened to Buckaroo Banzai, is a 1984 American science fiction film produced and directed by W. D. Richter and written by Earl Mac Rauch. It stars Peter Weller, with Ellen Barkin, John Lithgow, Jeff Goldblum, and Christopher Lloyd. The supporting cast includes Lewis Smith, Rosalind Cash, Clancy Brown, Pepe Serna, Robert Ito, Vincent Schiavelli, Dan Hedaya, Jonathan Banks, John Ashton, Carl Lumbly and Ronald Lacey. The film centers upon the efforts of the polymath Dr. Buckaroo Banzai, a physicist, neurosurgeon, test pilot, and rock star, to save the world by defeating a band of inter-dimensional aliens called Red Lectroids from Planet 10. The film is a cross between the action-adventure and science fiction film genres and also includes elements of comedy and romance.

Your Blood of Kings Highlander Podcast hosts Kevin Reitzel and Lee Fillingsness discuss 'The Immortal', a short lived Canadian based TV series (2000-2001), that lasted only one season (22 episodes). It starred Lorenzo Lamas as an immortal, who is over 400 years old and carries a sword. Sound familiar? Yes, some Highlander fans have shunned this series calling it a campy Highlander imitator and obvious blatant rip off of the Highlander TV series. But is it? It's is about an immortal, but instead of fighting other immortals, he fights demons as part of a revenge quest, that hide among humans, that have threaten the world for centuries. Kevin and Lee dive deep into the first 85 min television movie pilot, and discuss if this series did have an original angle worth revisiting. Kevin calls it a cross between Highlander and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, both shows that were very popular in the late 1990's.
