Cobra is a 1986 action film directed by George P. Cosmatos and written by Sylvester Stallone, who also starred in the title role. The film co-stars Reni Santoni, Brigitte Nielsen, Andrew Robinson and Brian Thompson who plays the prominent role of the fanatic villain. The film was loosely based on the novel Fair Game by Paula Gosling. Marion "Cobra" Cobretti is a  tough-on-crime street cop who must protect the only surviving witness to a strange murderous cult.
