On this podcast titled "The Saru-Win Scenario", we extensively cover Star Trek DISCOVERY episode 13: What's Past Is Prologue as The Orville is on hiatus until later this Fall 2018. For context...What's Past Is Prologue is a quotation by William Shakespeare from his play The Tempest. In contemporary use, the phrase stands for the idea that history sets the context for the present. In this case...since Discovery takes place approximately 10 years before Kirk and Spock, are we to now believe that certain "firsts" from The Original Series are now no longer that case - such as the "ION STORM transporter beam malfunction" as first seen in the celebrated classic Original Series episode MIRROR MIRROR? Also in this podcast, we celebrate one of the finest moments in Discovery...as our episode title suggests.
